Real Wireless Manifesto 2015

Real Wireless Manifesto 2015

The Real Wireless 2015 Manifesto looks forward to the next 12 months, highlighting the opportunities and challenges that will be faced by the wireless industry and those businesses looking to use wireless services.

We also review the predictions we made for 2014: which have come to pass and, for the ones that haven’t, what has changed and what we can learn.

Every year, Real Wireless considers the key issues facing both the wireless industry (including operators, regulators and vendors) and businesses that will be impacted by wireless (including the built environment, transport, and many others). Our manifesto discusses the context of the wireless industry, new technologies and how these present both challenges and opportunities. It includes insights from many of our Real Wireless experts, drawing on their extensive experience to advise on the issues that lie ahead. The Real Wireless Manifesto looks at not just the technology but the commercial, economic and regulatory aspects too.

We will be attending Mobile World Congress and if you’re there, we would very much like to meet to discuss the issues raised. Find us in Hall 7 Booth 7O33, or we can meet at your stand. Contact us to schedule a meeting »

C-RAN seems to have been a long time coming. I first started exploring the potential of C-RAN back in 2007. Since then there’s been a great deal of industry talk and thousands of pages of standards describing dozens of C-RAN architectures. And I’m still waiting. Cloud...

Can Satcoms at sea improve operations on land?

We write a lot about the needs of industry and how LTE, Wi-Fi, DAS and 5G, incorporated into a private network, could improve logistics and security and underpin just-in-time operations for airports, sea-ports, factories, stadiums, malls or local government. But what...

Connected vehicles: The long and winding road

The automotive industry’s goal was for every new vehicle to be connected by 2022. Now, less than 18 months out, things are more or less on track. But on track for what? M2M vehicle connectivity is already widely available.  This enables a vehicle to be connected to an...
