Now in its 11th year the SCF (Small Cell Forum) Small Cell Awards continue to be upheld as the industry recognised standard of excellence. Previous winners include Nokia, Huawei, Vodafone, Parallel Wireless, Cisco, BT, Commscope, Intel and Qualcom. The awards are open to the whole industry and Simon joins the independent judging panel of leading analysts, journalists and industry experts.
Caroline Gabriel, Chair of the Judges said: “The SCF Small Cell Awards has been rewarding both commercial and technical innovation and achievement for over 10 years now. In that time, they have reflected the huge changes in our industry, with small cells moving to center-stage as dense networks become the norm for 4G and 5G. We are delighted to welcome three new judges to the panel this year, who bring with them a wealth of expertise.”
The awards take place on 21 May 2019 during the Small Cells World Summit World in London, the flagship global event for the small cell, Wi-Fi and DAS industry, which is held exclusively in partnership with SCF.
SCF Chair, David Orloff said: ‘This year, for the first time, we look to recognise and honour companies working in critical features of nascent 5G networks, in which small cells will play a central role. We welcome entries from Forum members and the wider telecoms community, and I am always fascinated by how these awards track trends within our industry – highlighting brilliant efforts by organisations big and small.’
